How do I care for my tail once installed?
In order to ensure longevity for your tail, we recommend you either loosely plait or place your tail in a tail bag to avoid unnecessary soiling, tangles and snags. When brushing out, ensure to hold the bulk of your tail and work through the major tangles from the bottom up before running your brush all the way through. Your tail can be washed as normal, but it is recommended to avoid oily products when washing and spraying the application area to help avoid sliding.

Can my tail be reinstalled?
Our tails are made of beautiful natural horse hair which has gone through extensive screening to ensure it is only of the highest quality. When cared for correctly, your tail is designed to last multiple installations and removals. Please ensure to be gentle with the tips when removing and clamping to ensure you get many wonderful applications from your tail. Your kits come with additional beads, enough for two installations, and can be repurchased through our online store when needed.

My tail pieces keep sliding down, what am I doing wrong?
Contact UsWhen installing your tail, there are a few factors that will ensure a long-lasting, slip free installation, including hair preparation, how much hair you are placing into your beads before your tip and how you are clamping. Your kits come with enough beads to have a few practice runs, which we recommend so you can find the perfect technique for both your horse and yourself! If you have any questions at all about your installation after watching our 'How to Apply' video, please feel free to contact us
